Over lockdown I turned to using a semi permanent dye in a dark blonde colour. My natural colour is mid blonde with a lot of grey which I was previously getting dyed at the hairdressers using a permanent colour (blonde). I wasn't particularly happy with it as the colour seemed to lift quite quickly.
Whilst I love the new darker blonde I am getting grey roots very quickly which were previously less visible against a lighter blonde colour. Can I now use a semi permanent dye a couple of shades lighter or do I need to remove the colour I have been putting on first?
