Could I ask for some advice please?
I know that most on here are asking for advice around WFH, comfy, lounge gear, with a nice top for Zoom calls.
Most of my work gear is generally like this.

But, for various reasons, I have 2 court appearances in the next month, where I am a witness, and will be asked for facts and my opinion. I need some armour.

I am 50, 5'6" wish, carrying at least an extra 1.5stone Covid weight.
I am getting by at work with tighter trousers, but it wont do for court.
I have a naice pair of navy straight leg, ankle length trousers, but need shoes/top/blazer(?) to look the business.
Budget is mid-range...as in, I have work clothes from Zara through to boutique.

This isn't about putting on a false persona, but bolstering my confidence so that I am thinking about the facts I need to give, and not worrying about strained seams or tatty shoes.

If you work in this area, or have any advice, most gratefully received.

Can you work the other way round. Have you already got a nice blazer/jacket that you could buy a smart forgiving dress for - it's the cheaper option surely.
