Looking for a birthday present for my friend, she’s 24 and loves makeup and skincare. Budget is ~£50.

Out of all things, I actually think a Boots gift card could be an option? I didn’t realise Boots stocked brands like Mac and Nars, seems like they have a better range of brands than Debenhams etc!

Open to better ideas if you’re buying a similar gift for someone!

I think gift cards are a bit rubbish. They're pretty thoughtless and often go unused. Also not all Boots do the big high end brands.

I would get either Charlotte Tilbury pillow talk lipstick and matching lipliner in a nice gift box or two of Lisa Eldridge's new lipsticks in one of her velvet make up bags. Alternatively one of Hourglass' amazing powders. Something nice and spendy beautifully presented.
