If I want to wear shoes with a winter day dress...

What kind of thing might work? I'm apple shaped and look decidedly better in dresses, so I'm planning to wear casual day dresses all winter, cos otherwise it'll be joggers and I personally look like a sack of spuds in them. To complicate matters, I've come to the conclusion after years of experimenting, that I just don't like boots with dresses. (on me, anyway). Does anyone have any idea what kind of shoes would work with casual/smart casual dresses? I'm too fat to look whimsical or preppy in brogues/flats and proper heeled shoes are gonna be too formal for my life as a SAMH. I am stumped and would welcome any suggestions

I have bits very similar to the Uggs but with two straps rather than one. They look fine with most dresses but I have a skirt that comes just above my ankle so I look like a Victorian maid in them.

@TinyTickler
My daughter would those....especially since she doesn't care for toe cleavage Grin

Darn brain is faster than my typing finger🙄
Supposed to be that "my daughter would LOVE those"

TinyTickler · 22/10/2020 11:28

@Sweetpea1532 they do a leopard print version too, which I'm rocking today. Love them!

@TinyTickler
Are you sure you're not my daughter? GrinShe just adores anything leopard print!

I got the Uggs but they don't fit! The returns bit on their website won't work. Has anyone returned to them before? Thanks

BessieSurtees · 26/10/2020 21:44

Does your order confirmation have customer services contact details or are they on the website?

Sweetpea1532 · 27/10/2020 04:02

@Ringonrighthand
I'm sorry the UGGS don't fit...how disappointing!

Tryingtogetitright · 27/10/2020 14:12

So disappointing! I ordered the Uggs, they fit but the V shape was in the wrong place on one boot. I am returning those (returns part worked OK for me?) but really liked them so ordered another pair the next day. They are supposedly the same size but I couldn't get my feet in them! When I compared the soles of both the second pair is about 1cm shorter despite both being labelled as a size 7?... Frustrating! Am sending both pairs back

Tryingtogetitright · 27/10/2020 14:18

RingonRightHand - do you know your order number? Mine started EUxxxx it was on the label on the outside of the parcel. I used that and my postcode to get the returns page to work. Good luck!

Blueskysunsout · 27/10/2020 14:34

I’d go for a platform loafer of trainer. And I know you said no ankle boots but an nice non clumpy flat soles pointy or straight block toe ankle boot would like nice .

Thanks ladies, I've tried it on my phone, mac and laptop now. Not working! It finds my order, gives returns reasons etc then nada! I've emailed customer services to find out what's going on :)
