Cool clothes for 16 year old boy

Hope it's ok to post this here …
My DS (16) has finally/suddenly/recently started being interested in what he looks like. He hates shopping and I'm not in the mood for it at the moment myself, so we'll be shopping online. As he's actually interested for once, he might stand still long enough for me to be able to thoroughly measure him.

He's about 5 '9. Very slim, skinny even. Trousers have always been difficult - need to be an adjustable waistband as he has a very slender waist. Looks great in skinny jeans. Likes Converse, but I'd like to buy him some slightly more substantial casual shoes. Rugby shirts too maybe. Hoodie. Denim jacket.

He's too old for the kids' section but I'm intimated by looking at men's clothes. Where's good for teenagers online?

Typically he decides to do this in the year when we're feeling the pinch a bit so we're looking at budget-end stuff, although he could select some nicer things for his Xmas list and his grandparents might indulge him.

Thanks in advance.

I love choosing clothes! My son is 20m but I take great pleasure in it. My brother is 18 and we often chat about fashion and he send me links to approve 🤣

When my skinny DS was 16 he switched into becoming very into clothes. I got jeans and basics from Uniqlo and then more statement items like hoodies, sweat and long sleeve tees from Urban Outfitters. He wore relaxed fit jeans and oversized sweatshirts, hoodies and tees - he liked tie dye and stuff with lots of writing and symbols on. Brands included UO, Obey, Stussy. His sister also gave advice and loves Urban Outfitters herself - she's two years older and ultra into fashion (no doubt she was also motivated by the fact she would then nick his sweatshirts...).

H&M are good for basics (I like next because it's easy to order, get it the next day and return if you don't like it) H&M slim fit is really slim.

We then get hoodies and t-shirts from Vans, or where ever DS fancies.
