Ok I promise in advance I am not a weird knicker pervert... I need advice of where to get nice stylish everyday pants.

I am currently still rocking the giant granny knickers I packed for my hospital bag (they're sooooo comfy but make me feel about a hundred). I prefer 100% cotton if poss which seems to rule out lots of the nicer styles.

Help a girl out please! 🩲

Marks and Spencers. I'm sure I own most of the Brazilian styles they've done in the last few years 😂😂

Ha that's where my big belly huggers are from (ah I do love them!)

Have seen nice ones on next website too but the amount of nylon puts me off 😬

Another vote for M&S Brazilians. Perfect fit on the bum.

A lot is made of the fabric issue, but if you wear tights and wear knickers with them, you are not encased in cotton anyway. Secondly 100% cotton goes baggy because it has no stretch.

Finally, there is a large variety available in viscose. Viscose is a natural fabric, it is made from bamboo and ever so soft.

Oh thanks for this info about viscose - I didn't know that so will have a look as that def gives me more options.

I agree on the baggy front. It's not a good look!! I don't wear tights tbh as I live in quite a hot country, but I take your point on the fabric.

There seem to be a lot of styles in the seamless type synthetic fabrics. I could always grab a few to try. Brazilian seem to be the shape to aim for and well def be an improvement on the granny pants!

To add that, I find the Brazillian cut so comfy because of the soft lace as opposed to elastic on the legs. I don’t think you would be sacrificing comfort for style.

And yes, seamless are nice because they are made like a tube.

Pop back and let us know how you get on.

I’m a huge fan of Calvin Klein ! They are so damn expensive though 😔

These are my favourite!

They usually do deals though like 3 pairs for £30 or something . To be fair , mine lasted a good 4 years before I needed to replace them and even then they weren’t falling apart but just got too period stained 🙈

Went to m&s today and bought some of the Brazilian ones. I've sized up as no doubt wearing my actual size will feel like cheese wire after 2 years plus (😳😯) in the preggo pants! I will report back!

I love the muji pants v comfy can buy online

Stripe & Stare do the best knickers. I have been a granny pants wearer for the last few years & thought it was time to try something different. They’re sustainable & ethical too.

Well I've had a little trying on session. Quite happy with the pants from the back, nice shape on the bum etc.

A bit depressing at the front but I suppose that's to be expected since my knickers are no longer hiding my belly! I need to shift my csection overhang pronto!

I guess as I can see it now thats a good incentive to eat better and it'll go quicker. I've lost about a stone and a half recently but got about 2 more to shift.

Anyway - I bought one multipack of 5 Brazilian briefs in plain cotton and then 4 diff style of Brazilian in nicer materials with lace etc. They are nice and comfy so will get a few more of those (once I've worn a pair all day to properly check I like the material). The big knickers are going! Hurrah.

Thanks for the tips.

Good plain ones from Sloggi. Cotton, and they're excellent quality so don't stretch or go baggy.

Sickoffamilydrama · 19/10/2020 21:25

Sloggi weekend pants and Sainsbury's do some good big ones. I've not got a huge bum but seem to find a lot of pants the gusset is to narrow and constantly cuts into my bum 😂 these ones are wider and more comfy... nothing worse than a wedgee😉

Karwomannghia · 19/10/2020 21:40

A friend of mine has raved to me about Victoria’s secrets underwear, I think I’ll try them next. She said it’s really comfy but also a really nice buying experience. Lots of different styles.

StarlightLady · 20/10/2020 04:17

OP, thanks for popping back and I’m pleased you liked the Brazilians. I actually like the fact that you can avoid the multi packs and choose the colours you want as opposed to colours someone thinks you should have; l don’t do beige or white.

With regard to the Sloggis mentioned here, it’s all shape related. For me they feel like wearing a nappy.

And congrats on your weight loss. Enjoy the granny pants bonfire.
