Recently started purchasing the odd items on eBay, mainly work dresses, there are some lovely bargains on there if you have a good search!

What are your best finds from eBay?

Also, what do you search to refine your results? I want a nice jumper for Winter but I just don't know what to search to reduce all the riff raff coming up too!

Found so many bargains lots of designer dresses. There are so many outlet sellers who sell old Hobbs stock etc !

I am not the best person to tell you what I search for as I spend hours doing very generic searches - it's my way to relax 😂

I buy a fair bit in eBay and these are some things I do:
Brands I like.
Good quality materials.
A particular colour I'm looking for.
UK only.
Usually filtering out 'buy it now' gets rid of a lot of dross too.

And use the 'save search function'.

Once you've filtered by size, colour and a list of brands, save it and then you just click back on it. Takes time the first time but from then on it's great.

Though sometimes I'm more random because that way I find 'new to meet brands. I often click 'used' too as that removes a lots of the Chinese sellers selling tat.
I always google new brands tho to make sure they are a bargain.

I bought a once worn, perfect pure wool Joseph coat for something like £11.38 including postage. Googled it - it had been nearly £600.

I just sold a Hobbs dress for £2.20, so someone got a bargain! Select UK only on the filter, gets rid of all the tiny Hong Kong clothes.

Got a Louis Vuitton noe bag in the red and blue leather for £140 Japanese seller. Lovely condition.

Start with your size in a few brands you like and reliably fit you, in the categories your interested in - knitwear etc., then save those searches. With jumpers you could also search materials rather than brands.

Most of my wardrobe and DS’ comes from eBay or other sites. Lots of bargains and few mistakes, if stuff doesn’t fit I donate or sell on but sticking mostly to known brands reduces the risk. I also like Vinted and Depop, and Vestiaire collective for more premium stuff.
