Short hair 'strong' features

Pintrest etc is full of women with short hair who have tiny, delicate features (button nose etc).

Can anyone suggest women with stronger features (I have a big nose and chin with a really strong jawline) as short hair inspiration?

I have had a short style years ago I liked but I was late teens rather than nearly 40 so I think the look I want would be different.

I have really short hair, but don't have any nice features. I was genuinely worried about getting it all cut off because of that. I get tons of compliments on my hair. All the time. I would just go for it, you might be pleasantly surprised.

I've got a fairly big nose and a strong jaw and have always kept my hair long.
However, the one time I did have it cut short (after a disastrous colour mistake - got it cut as soon as the roots were long enough), I got a lot of compliments and my partner said how much he preferred it.

I just didn't feel happy though and now it's between jaw and shoulder length.

I'm not sure what you mean by strong features as such but Victoria Hamilton is striking without having tiny features ?

I've always been pissed off that I couldn't grow my hair as long as I wanted - got to shoulder length then would stop etc. Then I lost my hair to chemo and it's taken a year to grow to a point where I need a proper haircut - I'll never grow my hair again, I LOVE my short hair now (very similar to the style in Horsemad's post). I'm early 50s with very average features so I would go and speak to your hairdresser to see what they would suggest for your face shape/features?

I've got quite a large nose and chin and have very short hair. I'm told it suits me, I certainly like it which is the main thing. I suppose the main celeb I can think of with larger/strong features and short hair is Ellen?

I would go for it in stages - I started with a longer short style like the blonde hair in horsemads pic and now it's a super short pixie. The only way to really tell if it'll suit is give it a whirl!

The best thing you can have with a short cut is a strong jawline. So I'd say go for it!

Thank you everyone. By 'strong'I guess I mean distinctive because they are large? Most of the pintrest images show those with delicate features e.g. small thin button nose. It's hard to visualise what a style will look like on me when my face is much more heavy set.

The images posted were really helpful and I like the Annie Lennox look, though my go for a longer style first just to ease myself back in to a shorter style.

One thing that all these strong featured short haired women have in common is really well defined eyebrows.

I have similar strong features to you as you describe them - large nose, strong jaw - and for years have had a jaw-length bob (I used to straighten it but for the last few years have been keeping it messy/wavy).
