Anyone got them? If so do you recommend? are they comfortable, practical, etc?

I have them. I love them had them for a couple of years still look brand new.
Would definitely recommend.
I have the nanettes.

baobun · 17/10/2020 18:29

Thank you! Do you think you will still wear them lots going forward. I need some new hiking style boots but wasn't sure whether I could justify the spend as they have been a thing for so long. However boot fashion doesn't seem to have moved much further on.

They're ace. I have loads. Nanette are amazing. As are Emily boots. Last years and look as new still. Go for it!

ElspethFlashman · 17/10/2020 19:01

Just an FYI, M&S have a lookalike this year. And ASOS definitely have some lookalikes (and also the Nanettes if you wait for a 20% off code!)

troppibambini · 17/10/2020 20:04

Yes I will keep wearing them I think. I did try a few pairs of lookalikes but they just didn't do it for me... price per wear I've definitely had my money's worth!

troppibambini · 17/10/2020 20:05

Oh and my friend bought them a couple of weeks ago from flannels online and got a really good deal.

troppibambini · 17/10/2020 20:06

Just checked and they're not on sale anymore.

HelloDulling · 17/10/2020 20:08

I love them!

Londoner99 · 17/10/2020 20:11

I have a black pair of the Nanette boots, bought earlier this year when they were on sale at the end of the winter as I knew they would be a big trend going forward. I live them and they are worth every penny.

RAINSh0wers · 17/10/2020 20:53

I was hoping the consensus would be they’re not worth it! I have my eye one them, hoping for a 20% ASOS code. How do they come up size-wise, are they big/small?

Howdidthathappen1 · 17/10/2020 21:06

Oh a thread I can contribute to!! Mine - sale buy - got their first outing today. Can't remember the name but they're camo print slightly furry type ones. I have never had so many 'omg i love your boots' comments.
They are so comfortable. I think I love them a tiny bit more than my children right now!!!

troppibambini · 17/10/2020 21:20

They come up pretty standard but I would go up if you are between sizes. They aren't good if you've got wide feet though because you can't really loosen the foot bit so the hole to get your foot in is quite small. It's a bit hard to explain...

baobun · 17/10/2020 21:27

@troppibambini I was wondering about that as there's no side zip & I have a very high instep. I will order & see but I will wait for some kind of discount.

Thanks all!

RAINSh0wers · 18/10/2020 14:15

There’s 20% off ASOS if you order through the ap and pay with Apple Pay!

Thanks Troppibambini I think I might need to size up as I’m between sizes.

baobun · 18/10/2020 14:20

ooh thank you!

OP posts:
baobun · 18/10/2020 14:21

@RAINSh0wers where did you see it. I can't see anything on the app?

OP posts:
RAINSh0wers · 18/10/2020 22:17

@baobun scroll down quite far on the ap homescreen and there should be a yellow box with the info. You have to pay with Apple Pay to be able to get the discount. I’m sure it’s not just for me...!

troppibambini · 19/10/2020 11:30

@baobun go go go!!! Grin

Grenson boots
Zeldaaa · 19/10/2020 13:50

For those of you who’ve tried these do you find them true to size ? I’ve seen some people recommend sizing up

NottinghamFlorest · 19/10/2020 14:30

I'm a 6 everywhere but in grensons I'm mostly a 5.5, and one pair I have is a 5...

SymphonyofShadows · 19/10/2020 14:38

Grenson have a really good sale in January, especially if you hold your nerve until the further reductions.

EggbertHeartsTina · 19/10/2020 14:55

@troppibambini THANK YOU you've just saved me more than £80, I bought some tan Nanettes and Timberlands for my DH's Christmas present.

DandyP · 19/10/2020 15:12

I bought some last year, a special edition pair of Nanettes. They are fabulous - comfortable and supportive and go with a lot. I wear mine most of the time at the moment now it’s getting colder and wetter, with dresses & skirts as well as tracksuit bottoms and jeans. This weekend they did several muddy dog walks and, with a polish, up into town for dinner out.

Theonlyoneiknow · 19/10/2020 15:14

Did you find they stretched a little after wear/needed wearing in?

NottinghamFlorest · 19/10/2020 15:51

Also, if you know what size you are, they do come up a lot on eBay...
