Non-baggy, non-chunky cotton knitwear?

Is anywhere selling cotton jumpers and cardigans that aren’t loose fit or bulky cable knit this year? I can’t bear the feel of acrylic, and viscose makes me feel even colder, but I’m allergic to wool (even cashmere), so cotton it must be. But all the cotton knitwear in the shops seems to be giant baggy things that probably look très chic on some svelte twentysomething but just make me look like I’ve given up in despair.

I bought a thin, fitted, cotton jumper from White Stuff earlier in the summer. Not somewhere I would normally shop in, but really pleased with it.

I’ve had some recently from tkmaxx
Also look at Barbour online sales

Ralph Lauren has cable knit cotton jumpers if you don’t mind the small logo (not a shop I shop in but my friend has these jumpers in a few colours!).

They sell RL in lots of different stores including House of Fraser, ASOS etc so worth shopping around for the best price.

Uniqlo also have cotton knits. This one isn’t super baggy but not fitted so may not be what you’re after www.uniqlo.com/uk/en/product/women-3d-knit-cotton-boat-neck-jumper-428854COL69SMA005000.html?LGWCODE=428854COL69SMA005000;136477;6475&utm_source=Google&utm_term=&utm_medium=cpc&utm_campaign=shopping

PS I know you said not chunky cable knit but I think the RL ones are quite light and fitted.

Boden (maybe in clearance). Woolovers do a cotton and cashmere blend which I can tolerate (also have the wool thing).

Depending on your figure a lot of men's departments do good cotton knitwear - m&s do nice colours. Sadly don't work for me as I'm short, plump and curvy so they cover up my good bits and land on my bad ones. If you have a longer torso they may work.

TkMaxx, Superdry, Hilfiger all have some. Prefer cotton ones myself, light and breathable but still warm.

Lands end have cotton knitwear in plain styles. Look for "supima cotton"
