Seasalt coats

I'm thinking about buying the Coverack coat in black. Has anybody got one? Just wondering if they are tee to size, or if I should size down?

This one appeals the most because it's cotton and not too bulky.

I’m considering the same in slate
I already have the plant hunter in green and went with a 22, I’m usually a 20 or 22 depending on item/fit. I have a big bum/belly/hips so felt the 22 was more comfortable in that area (plant hunter is too warm for me right now so wanted so thing a bit thinner for autumn)
Had previously tried a different style in a 20 and I felt it skimmed my big bits too much for my liking

I have the Janelle coat (best ever purchase! One of those £150 spends I have NO guilt over!). I am an avid dog walker, out in all weather cycling, walking, and this coat has been amazing. When they say waterproof, they mean it. Anyway... with Seasalt, I tend to size up. I'm a 10. I tend to go for the 12. I have very long arms, which is always problematic. With my coat, it could be a tad longer on the sleeves, but it's really ok.

I size up with seasalt coats. I have two!

I've got a Coverack. If you want to wear it in cold weather I'd size up. With Seasalt I generally size up their fitted styles and size down the baggier ones.

I got a coat in the summer, I think it was sailor it was called, and had to go down by 2 sizes

Thank you. Mixed experiences, it seems. I'm a 12/14, so think I'll try the 14 initially.

I have the black Kellifray which looks very similar to the one you've posted OP. I didn't size up but I am quite flat chested- I think they are fairy neat across the chest.
Definitely worth the spend, I've had mine for 4 years and it's still going strong.

RemusLupinsBiggestGroupie · 17/10/2020 14:22

Ah - I am not flat chested.

I've got a Seasalt coat (Plant Hunter), and a summer jacket. I'm a 12 and I bought both in a 12. But I've also tried other Seasalt jackets which were very oddly sized - one huge, one tiny. So I think it's a bit hit and miss, for me the Plant Hunter is true to size, no idea re the Coverack though.
