Warm jacket to wear with Alexa trousers?

Hi, I've just got the lucy and yak Alexa trousers in black and I love them. I want to wear them next weekend when we hope to be in Edinburgh and need a warm jacket to go with as it will be cold. Can anyone recommend anything?

I would say either anything long (midi to maxi length) or short/cropped such as a leather jacket (with layers). Absolutely not something that cuts across the hips

Agree with thinkle - I don’t have these particular trousers but wear a lot of balloon and barrel legs. I wear either something cropped and boxy (faux fur, leather, denim in warmer weather) or calf length (wool coat or teddy fur coat).

As an aside, I might try and postpone this trip because Edinburgh is under pretty tight restrictions for now, and it will be cold to be mainly outdoors!
