Are higher end shampoo and conditioners actually worth it ?

I've got fine hair which I manage to get bounce with my Dyson and colour wow spray Grin. But I've always used shampoos and conditioners available in supermarket. Am I missing a trick would buying more high end give me better hair ? Or is it all in the styling ? Could anyone recommend any brill ones ?

I'm not convinced by the high end stuff either - my current favourite is Herbal Essences Hello Hydration with some lovely Capasal when needed.

I usually use just the Tresemme stuff, which i find suits my hair. However I've recently had some highlights and my hair is quite dry. I tried the Fudge shampoo, a bit, well a lot more expensive but oh my, its worked wonders on my hair, my hair hasn't looked this healthy in a long time. And that's just the shampoo, I'm looking forward to trying the conditioner.

Naturally med blonde (mousey) balayaged fine hair very prone to damage here.

I use Joico KPak shampoo & conditioner, gentle enough on my scalp but leaves my hair feeling soft and shiny (as shiny as blonde hair can) without making it flat and too slippy. It’s a protein shampoo that can be used daily.

I used to Redken extreme (Redken’s protein shampoo) but it’s irritating to my scalp and so only used it once every 7-10 days, alternating with Pureology Hydrate but they changed the formula on that and it is nowhere near as good anymore.

Yes! I have fine hair that is very frizzy. Around a year ago I switched to cheap brands of shampoo (Aussie mainly) to save money as I thought there would be no difference and I started noticing after a month or so that my hair had become really frizzy and awful. I thought maybe it had become damaged from too much heat styling or something and didn't twig that it was because I changed shampoo.

I was in TK Maxx and decided to purchase the Tigi Bed Head shampoo which is what I used to use and within a week my hair was back to normal and shiny and soft.
