Olaplex

If you have an olaplex treatment, what does it consist of, and how much does your hairdresser charge?

My mobile hairdresser gave me some to use as a conditioner after a roots touch-up (bleach) and then charged me £20 for it! Literally two squirts of product! Just felt it was a bit steep ... (and then to add insult to financial injury, she frazzled my hair with the straighteners!).

I have step 1 and 2 at the hairdressers. They charge me £20

Did you have that too and she gave you a bit to use at home ???

Levatrice · 16/10/2020 12:13

I’m sure my hairdressers charge £35 for it Shock

Treatment while having highlights (in salon, London) is £25. Then a whole bottle of Olaplex for at home treatment is about £26 and gives me about 7/8 generous applications....

sleepwhenidie · 16/10/2020 12:25

In salon treatment goes on after highlights rinsed, left in for 5-10 mins I think....

I’ve seen it being charged for more tbh.

From a salons point of view, it’s a total money maker for them.

If it was after treatment, what olaplex number did she give you? Seems mad to give you two squirts when she could have sold you a retail bottle of Olaplex 3 for the same price!

I paid £37 for the salon treatment. I think they put some in the hair colour as well as the conditioner after. I have some at home but don't use it much.

GinandGingerBeer · 17/10/2020 16:35

Which one did she give you? Olaplex 3 I guess?
It isn't a conditioner it's a bond repairer. So it won't make your hair feel soft and conditioned but it will help repair any bond damage that bleaching has caused.
They do No1 through to 7. (4-7 are general shampo conditioner oil etc)
No1 (for use at home is new) there's also 1 & 2 salon only treatment.
