Make up brushes

I’m looking to invest in some new makeup brushes to replace my Home Bargain cheapies. I’m considering Morphe and Real Techniques. Are either of these better than the other or is there another brand I should try?

I've always loved real techniques as they were made by make up artists, decent price, does what they say on the tin. Especially for skin wear like concealer/foundation/powder/blush.

I like morphe make up brushes for eye shadows. Morphe was predominantly an eye shadow brand originally so I felt their brushes were made better for that purpose..

So I've been buying both of them for years and not tried much else to be honest!

Real Techniques are great for complexion brushes but I dont love their eye ones. Sigma or Zoeva are nice quality and a fair price.

Real techniques for foundation, blusher and powder. Always on offer somewhere (boots/Superdrug/online) Smile

Just to throw another suggestion in here - EcoTools. Available at Boots and often on offer. Wonderfully soft and I find they hold and distribute product really well. I bought them thinking I would use them while saving up for a set of Artis brushes....and I loved them so much I never 'upgraded'.

Bobbi brown brushes are amazing

Zoeva or Morphe brushes are very good x

Zoeva are great. They're currently selling a set of 12 that are packaged so they can be used as a 12 day advent calendar.

Another vote for Zoeva. My brush collection is now all Zoeva, replacing my Bobbi Brown, Stila and Real Technicques.

I would say don’t be drawn in my the counters. I have some Bobbi Brown, given as a gift last Christmas. They are dreadful. The blusher and bronzer brushes shed so much that I’ve just stuck them in a drawer. I have an eyeliner brush which is good.

I return again and again to Real Techniques. Excellent.

MrsR87 · 17/10/2020 18:23

I recommend real techniques or eco tools.

Dior Backstage ones are brilliant. You can get a set in a nice leather case and then add individual ones along the way.
