help! Coat to go over school blazer - for boy 12

Hope someone can help, my son needs a school coat to go over the blazer, i had bought him a ski jacket but he says it is too bulky, ideally need something waterproof, that doesn't look like an anorak and is warm and not stiff/bulky - does such a coat exist? thanks.

and it has to be dark coloured.

DS has a navy Joules padded jacket. It’s not waterproof but it’s thick enough to withstand a bit of rain. It looks really smart over his blazer.

DSs both had Superdry coats at that age. I think they were Windcheaters.

Contrary to popular belief About teens, they wore them too 😂

North Face

I'd get a North Face aconcagua. DS has gone all through high school with this type of coat. Try ebay if you don't want to spend a fortune. I've bought coats from there and sold them for the same amount once he outgrew them!

Ds 12 has a navy hype coat over his blazer.

I bought DS a Regatta waterproof parka from Amazon for about £20. It's warm and lightweight. Maybe a parka is too much like an anorak though!

Another vote for the superdry windcheaters (try the eBay outlet store)

My DS wears a North Face hooded jacket, its padded but only slightly so doesnt add bulk or feel uncomfortable over a blazer. I don't think its fully waterproof but definitely showerproof, he's never complained about being wet!
