Stylish waterproof shoes/boots for walking

Do they exist?

I’m based in Scotland so need something waterproof for walking. Probably more trainer style than boot but I am open minded!

Anyone got or seen anything that isn’t too hearty looking?

I've got some Salomon walking trainers that are completely waterproof. Really comfy too.

What sort of walking terrain? Pavements? Woods? Dog walking where they drag you into messy places?
I don’t know about stylish, but try searching ‘women’s waterproof trainers ‘ on google or directly on Amazon - not sure if that’s what you are looking for?
If something more upmarket , Ugg do a variety of waterproof boots, with proper soles. I bought a pair a 2 years ago and I am amazed at how waterproof they are

@Goingdooolally Have a look at Ecco’s Goretex range of trainers and boots 😊 Can be on the pricier end but are great quality and will last you years! Sorel boots are also great 😊 lots of lighter little ankle boot styles rather than heavy walking boots as such!

Danner do some really stylish walking boots. They’re quite pricey but I think they’ve also used them on the catwalk for dolce & habana...

Thanks all! I will investigate. The problem I find is there’s not many Goretex lightweight shoes. Everything Goretex is pretty heavy duty. Obviously not been to Scotland in the summer/autumn!

I’ve just bought some Mammut approach shoes. Really grippy, waterproof, and I think they look pretty good too. They were £99 in the sale online.

Salomon trail running shoes are good. Low cut like trainers, but slightly heavier duty and waterproof. I wear them for exactly the situations you describe.

Yes to ECCO goretex. I picked up a pair of leather boots for £80 in the sales a few years ago, now onto their third autumn and as good as new. I love them.

@Goingdooolally I would usually say the same but Ecco definitely do super lightweight Goretex trainers as well as the heavier shoes and boots 😊

Well I had a good trawl around Edinburgh today without much success. Rogersons next to Ecco had the best selection. North face had some cooler ones. Ecco had some nice boots but I wasn’t so keen on the trainers.

I had a look online and have found some ok New Balance ones. I’ve left it too late for my holiday now though

I forgot I had some water resistant suede Vans boots so a bit of spray on them will be good. They’re not very grippy. Annoyed at myself for not being more organised!!! I do have Merrell ones and hiking boots (from around 15years ago!) so I’ll just take those...
