IPL Facial for sub spots/ thread veins

Hi,

I am wondering whether to try IPL for fairly small patches of sun damage and thread veins around the nose. My local salon currently has a half price offer. Has anyone had IPL treatment on the face and was it effective? Any terrible reactions or even minor reactions that I need to be aware of? Was it worth it for you?
Many thanks

I had ipl for pigmentation under my eyes & thread veins on my nose. It worked about 90% on the veins (1 stubborn one wouldn't go but did fade) but the pigmentation was 100% effective.
The pigmentation looked worse at first, like wet sand but then peeled away and I went very red, almost bruised looking with the thread veins but I do have fair, sensitive skin & it only lasted 2/3 days.
It wasn't the most comfortable procedure, the pigmentation felt hot & stingy with each zap and the thread vein laser was more painful. It was like flicking an elastic band on my nose, quite painful at times - bearable but I was glad when it was over.
I had 6 sessions altogether and will have top-up sessions if I feel I need them.

Sorry, I forgot about this thread. Thank you v much for your reply @BlueEyes21. So no unpleasant side effects apart from the temporary darkening which I have been warned about?
