Hairdressers Assemble! Is what I'm looking for possible?

What I'm looking for is copper red highlights. Not blonde highlights with a toner on the top. Actual red dye, but not applied over my whole head.

The last time I broached this with my hairdresser she didn't seem to think it would work, but toners are completely crap IME.

L’Oréal used to do a majirel product specially for this, where it lightened and deposited the copper in one process .

I feel your pain! I want something like this but I'm finding it impossible for anyone to get my hair coppery / red like this but with a brown base. I currently look like a goth because my hair is so dark
