Help me find cool, super comfy, black trainers for everyday wear

I need some super comfy black trainers for everyday walking. Ideally I would feel like I am walking on air! I'd also like them to be vaguely cool rather than scream middle-aged mum! Budget up to £150 for the perfect pair.
Any suggestions?

No suggestions I'm afraid but following with interest! I was thinking of starting a similar thread. I want comfy but reasonably smart/stylish black trainers. Waterproof would be a bonus - or at least not suede. I have some lovely comfy new balance trainers but they have suede on so not ideal when it's wet.

I am considering some Vejas but last time I tried some on, I didn't find them very comfy.

I have actually just bought some Nike 'Skate Shoes' Much to my kids disgust BUT I have plantar fasciitis and they are so comfortable.

AnotherEmma · 13/10/2020 14:25

I'm just looking at the Nike website actually. Loads of options.

I just bought Nike Air black runners - they are Air 270 React. I have small feet. They have a navy stripe on the heel. I love them and they are like walking on air (as expected). I am a middle aged mum but I think these look good - teen DD said they do. Not try hard, not clumsy.

I have three pairs of these in different colours. They’re like slippers. It’s advisable to go up half a size.

Love those, thanks for sharing!
I quite like these, too:

Yes, they’re nice too. A bit subtler with the black sole.

IloveJudgeJudy · 13/10/2020 15:48

Nike airforce 1s. DH, DS2 and I have them (DD and DS1 May have them as well). Really comfortable, everyday, in ostentatious trainers. They're very comfortable for walking, we all agree.

Branleuse · 13/10/2020 15:54

most comfortable trainers ive ever had were Nike air max. No contest. Ive actually lost mine to my son at the moment and I bought a cheaper pair to replace and now regret it. You can get leather ones which would be good for walking. Ridiculously comfortable and supportive

peachypetite · 13/10/2020 16:02

Adidas sleek. I went up a whole size.

pommedeterre · 13/10/2020 16:10

I got these last week (bargain price). Comfy and nice and low at the sides which I like:

Nike Air Force 1 LV8. Comfy, give you an extra inch and get lots of compliments.

Has anyone got (or tried) Air & Grace shoes?
I like the look of these but they're a bit pricey

Another vote here for Nike. Most recent purchase is a pair of internationalist which I customised on the Nike site - they are black suede with a black leather tick, a black sole and a khaki strip at the back just to break up the block colour a bit. I chose to keep the tongue white but that could have been black also if I’d have chosen it.

I’ve used a water resistant spray on them and, having worn them in the recent pouring rain, can confirm it worked a treat.

Cost £90.

Most comfortable trainers ever - got a half size up from normal for thick sock wearing come winter time.

New balance is good.

MzHz · 13/10/2020 17:39

@MonkeysandParrots those are really nice! And not too mental expensive either!

Ellapaella · 13/10/2020 17:47

I have black Nike Internationalist too and love them. So comfy and look good with almost everything.

DubiousGoals · 13/10/2020 17:54

@AnotherEmma I've just bought a pair of Air & Grace Cru (the white and leopard print ones), they're honestly the most comfortable shoes I've ever worn. Lovely padded insoles, no breaking-in needed at all. I'm already saving up for a black pair! I had to size up.

I've got these, I was looking for a black winter equivalent to my summer white Stan Smiths. I've worn them loads since I got them and I'm really pleased. They aren't cheap but are comfortable and I like how they look with black jeans and with winter dresses.

AnotherEmma · 13/10/2020 18:21

@DubiousGoals @Mazig
Thanks both, I'm very tempted! I wonder if there will be Black Friday deals...

Ooh I hope so!

I love my black Brooke 19s. No idea if they are trendy, so I doubt it!
