Il Makiage foundation

Keep seeing this advertised and it looks great but dubious of an online match and also it just too expensive for me. Can anyone recommend a good, but less expensive foundation for a mid 50s tired looking face?
I’ve used a BB cream in the past but need a bit more coverage now for winter without looking plastered on as I don’t wear a great deal of make up.

I'm not sure about an alternative but I took the plunge with the Il Makiage, it came the other day.
Like you I was dubious of an online quiz matching me as many foundations look way to orange on me. I wasn't convinced when I opened the box either, but I've used it yesterday and today and it's bang on tbh and I'm pleased with the coverage - light but evens my skin out and doesn't disappear into my fine lines.

NYX’s can’t stop won’t stop is similar in my opinion - has enough shades in different undertones that there should be one to suit, and is lightweight but pigmented.

It claims to last 24 hours but doesn’t - but what foundation does (or needs to really).

They're almost as relentless with their chummy marketing as Charlotte Tilbury. I did the match quiz out of interest and now emails pop up in my inbox at least once a day, wondering why I haven't succumbed to the magic of Makiage.

Which puts me off.
