17 year old girl advice

My close friend and neighbour has a DD who is my goddaughter who is 17 this November - it's her birthday and as things this year at school have been a bit shitty - no prom or reduced due to Covid etc she wants to treat her to

I got her an Ariana Grande Cloud perfume as her mum said she liked perfume last year and she really liked that and got her very pretty silver earrings a few years before plus an Urban Decay Naked palette one year too.

What should/could I get her now?

I recently went to their house and the DD invited me into her room (for the first time in ages I think) - the usual Victoria Secret body sprays, she has a new hamster, but what I found interesting is she has purple walls with black tall sculptured bedroom furniture etc - a crystal skull head and some sugar skull prints - she also has a large black and white skull/gothic wall hanging hanging on one wall.

She is not a goth or if she is she doesn't look like one - she's quite girly and she does shop at H&M, Zara, Berschka, Victoria Secret etc but she also likes market finds - 'I don't like to look like everyone else!' she says, she has also volunteered/worked at a local city farm/college as she loves animals!

Any ideas on what to get her please? thanks. budget can be up to £50 which sounds a lot but the UD palette cost about £43 I think

Is she into her hair? You could buy her a hair styling tool.

Max make up is really good or you could get a Charlotte Tilbury make up item to have as something special in her kit? Or if she’s into fake tan maybe a fake tan set?

Do you mean MAC makeup? Charlotte Tilbury is a good idea. She likes her hair but that's an idea I could buy her a gift voucher for our local beauty salon/hairdresser as her mum says she gets her hair cut there and also nails/brows done there.

Not sure re fake tan.

what I might do is if near a Victoria's Secret can buy her another body spray and also get something from MAC or Urban Decay. The DD did mention she liked Body Shop too (cruelty free?) so I might get her some of their range - maybe the pumpkin range even if it's after her birthday. At Christmas I get her something too but usually half the price of her birthday present so I'm thinking another Ariana Grande perfume - her mum says she likes these the best she also likes Victor and Rolf stuff etc.

Too faced make-up? Comes in gorgeous palettes and smells of chocolate (but not in a cheap way)
