Is anyone doing this?

I've had an email saying I can't use any products for the next week so my skin is ready to try the new product. I hadn't realised how much I need moisturiser though, I'm hating not using anything!

Ooh how do you sign up to test L'Oreal products? I think I've tried to do it before but kept going round in circles on their website.

Can you cleanse etc or use absolutely nothing? Shock I've done some product testing for other companies but I've never been asked to stop other products for a period beforehand. Do you know what you're going to be sent to test?

What? I'm on the Boots tester panel and I've never been told by them to not use products. My skin would be hell on earth without moisturiser.

From where OP? Presumably this is something you've applied for so will apply to very few here. Or is it some mumsnet panel thing?

I would just use moisturiser to be honest, I think it is taking it a bit far to make yourself go without just to test a freebie worth a few quid. Presumably they want everyone to go without and then state that oh yes when I tried it my skin felt 6000% better and more moisturised Hmm. I'd just use it, enjoy it and give them the generic feedback they are looking for if you liked it so they can churn out an ad saying that (unsurprisingly) 7 out of 10 of a small number of people felt their skin looked and felt more moisturised, after using a moisturiser.

It's the revitalift retinol serum and moisturiser. It says no skin care products for a week!

I suppose I was worried if I used some if it reacted badly?

@Purpleblondelady I'm not entirely sure what I clicked on to be part of it! I've been a member for a few years now and have had some great stuff!

I think it's a bit unrealistic to expect people to not use any products, it's important to use SPF everyday. Also I wouldn't be able to put foundation on without using moisturiser first.

I've had another look to join up and still no success.
