Cotton secret support vests?

M&S used to do lots of cotton secret support vests but they only seem to have the one style now, which has adjustable straps. I don't want adjustable straps because I use these to wear when I'm lounging or sleeping and don't want a bra or any random plastic bits sticking into me.

My old M&S ones are wearing out, and I've lost weight so that my boobs have shrunk, so I need something new.

I'm looking for a fairly simple design, wide non adjustable straps, cotton material, cut high enough at the front that I won't spill out when lying on my side, tight enough to give a reasonable level of support. Does such a thing exist? I can't seem to find it.

If it's just for sleeping in, a Boden double layered sleeveless top might do you. I bought one last year to pair with pj bottoms and as they have a high elastane it holds you together quite well.

Ooh, I'll check it out, thanks 👍

I have exactly the same problem - why did M&S stop selling those Secret Support tops? The best, and most useful were plain, with no fussy lace trimmings, and simple, non-adjustable straps. One of the assistants in my local M&S said that people are always asking for them! They were perfect for layering, lounging and you could even wear them on their own in hot weather. I was looking at these the other day...adjustable straps though. 😕www.simplybe.co.uk/shop/naturally-close-2-pack-cotton-rich-whiteblack-secret-support-cotton-vest/xe267/product/details/show.action?pdBoUid=3014

Uniqlo might be worth a look too.

I could only find adjustable strap ones a while back but I just cut the plastic thingy off and stitched the straps down to a comfortable size. They still work fine.

Uniqlo do them with wider non adjustable straps.

I don't suppose they are cotton 100% but Primark do a pack of 3 for about £10. I am rather busty and normally find these sort rub me very badly. I showed the GP once where they had cut me underneath and she was shocked.

But Primark ones not only fitted well, they looked good underneath clothing, unlike others that give a 'bolster' look.

Thank you!

Uniqlo look good, but they are not cotton and the support bit is moulded foam cups which are not really my bag.

Cutting off the plastic bits and sewing down is a genius idea @AngusThermopyle - not least because on the adjustable ones I have they always gradually slide down to become too loose Confused

Primark May be worth a look - they do have some cotton stuff.

Why oh why do M&S not listen to the numerous requests and just start doing them again. They really were the best 😭

M&S used to do soft shelf-type secret support vests for bigger busts that were great for wearing around the house and sleeping in - replaced with an internal moulded bra with hooks Angry
