Help me ditch the hairspray

I have quite soft flat hair that I like to blow dry volume into and then hold in place with a strong hairspray. Trouble is, I fiddle with my hair a lot because it irritates me if it falls onto my face so the hairspray drops out. Not only that, it is very drying and I have bleach on the ends of my hair so it makes it look even worse. Can anyone recommend anything that has the staying power of hairspray but not the 'look' of it? Thank you!

You can get light hold hairsprays that won’t leave it crispy?

Your main problem is that you keep messing with it throughout the day. You need to change your habits as you’ll run into the same issues with any product; your style won’t stay in place if you keep faffing with it, and overusing any product to compensate for your style repeatedly dropping out will make your hair feel weird.

Can't you use a mousse?
If you use a flexible one, it should be OK.

Buy one from the hairdresser. Much better quality products then Boots/supermarket.
From my experience at least Wink

You definitely need to work on the condition of your hair. Oil treatments and wrapping will help. Think of it like wearing moisturising socks to bed.

Maybe you could also try a mousse and a fidget toy so you don't mess with your hair.

What other hair (washing/styling) products do you use?

Maybe you could experiment with switching up your other products rather than hairspray? I think long lasting voluminous hair is all about the blow dry and the products. When I get a salon blow dry, my fine hair looks voluminous until my next wash, I don’t bother with hair spray.
