No M & S Beauty Advent Calendar this year [sad]

Disappointingly (or not, depending on your viewpoint) there will be no M&S beauty advent calendar this year. There will be a Beauty Edit of 10 items apparently according to this link I found

DH has bought me the advent calendar as a treat for the last couple of years - perhaps I'll tell him he can buy me the Liberty one instead....!

That's a shame :( I hope it's only a one off and it comes back next year. It's been pretty good on the whole for the last couple of years!

I'll miss it. DH has bought me the Holland & Barrett one instead, which has had good reviews.

I didn't get an M and S calendar last year as I couldn't afford it. I've been putting money into a jar through the year so that I could treat myself this year so I feel sad too.
I know larger sizes of fewer products is probably better value and better for the environment but there was something rather nice about having a little box to open on cold dark mornings and sharing opinions on the M and S calendar thread.

@latedecember1963 - many on here have got the H&B calendar as an alternative to M&S this year and there is already a ‘discussion thread’ up and running ready for 1st December. Maybe that could be an option?

I have never bought an M&S calendar but I did read the countdowns .
I bought the H&B one purely to find some items for my DD Advent ( which I make myself , she loves it and I can cater to her choices rather than what's behind the door)

M&S hit the ground running last year with an Aveda product ( £25 as a stand alone , I bought this from M&S and its really good)

There was a lip balm that took the skin off some posters , a few "C'mon M&S get your act together" items . And I think the Nig One was the Prai neck cream .

I won't buy the Beauty Edit , I wouldn't use most of them.
There's a couple of things in the H&B (no spoilers ) that will suit me more than DD
