Leggings with an attached skirt

I did not even know this was a thing but saw it mentioned on another thread and find leggings so comfy and would be nice to change it up and not have to constantly look for longline tops to cover bum etc.

Any recommendations for some nice thick ones, good quality please?

These were the in thing when I was at school in the late 90’s/early 00’s. I’ve never seen them since!

This was a thing about 22 years ago that lasted about an hour.

awsomer · 08/10/2020 09:10

Why not just put a skirt over your leggings?

IAmcuriousyellow · 08/10/2020 09:11

Joe Browns do them

Oldraver · 08/10/2020 11:28

I have an old set of Joe Browns ones. I have a top that matches the leggings so it looks like a long line top over them

Though to be honest not sure why they didnt just do the leggings and longer top

Honestly I think it'd look nicer if you picked a separate skirt/dress to team with leggings. I remember the skirt over trousers trend from when I was about 10 and it's not a good memory lol

Burnshersmurfs · 08/10/2020 11:33

All Saints do them in incredibly soft cotton. They are lovely.

gindinner · 08/10/2020 11:39

I have some from AllSaints.

Yes! Scrousers, they were called in my area. Never thought these would come back! Sorry, I’m being annoying and unhelpful as I don’t know where to buy them, but had a flashback to primary school and friends in scrousers and crop tops wearing purple and silver themed stuff for the millennium!

I remember having a night out with my mates when Ds1 was about 2 months old and seeing someone wearing these. We just joked that she could decide what to wear so wore everything.
It was a ridiculous look, especially with a long chain belt.

Lol at the idea of "A nifty 2 in 1 legging and skirt combo" being an essential Grin

OP, longline tops and leggings are really fashionable at the moment so there will be loads in the shops. Oversized shirts, t-shirts and hoodies with leggings and chunky shoes. I don't see the point of the attached thing (and I too remember these from the 90s!)

Thank you for all the links and views, they do sound a bit old fashioned from what some of you say and as I am in my 60's and a wobby size 14 I certainly would only wear them round the house just for a change. I may just try and get some cheapish ones from Ebay so see if i like the look or if I look silly lol

Jumpersncake
Those are the ones!
I just didn't see the point in them being worn in a nightclub!!
