If you have long hair...

If you have long hair how do you style it on a daily basis? I'm really not very good at styling my hair, which is wavy and down to my mid back (or a little longer). Every now and again I straighten it but on a daily basis I use a claw clip to get it out of my face. I've thought of having a fringe cut in as I love the look but, at 47, I wonder if I'm too old for that. This is the type of fringe I like hips.hearstapps.com/hmg-prod.s3.amazonaws.com/images/actress-dakota-johnson-attends-the-chanel-paris-salzburg-news-photo-1594677937.jpg?crop=0.406xw:0.405xh;0.270xw,0.0147xh&resize=480:* I also like curtain bangs but wonder how difficult they are to style as they would probably just hang down if left to air dry (which is what I usually do, even in winter). I have watched plenty of YT videos for ideas but when I tried to copy the styles even the more basic ones seemed difficult to replicate.

Fishtail plaits take forever though they do look pretty.

Mine is naturally curly so I either leave it curly and put in low pony or blow dry it in to softer curls and wear it loose.

I think the main issue is the front - when you don't have bangs you need to style it or it will look frumpy. At least in my case. off she goes to book a hairdresser appointment

I have slightly longer than shoulder-length hair and I cut myself a fringe during lockdown as I couldn't stand the size of my forehead Grin. I love it, but I do have thick hair, and I feel it does make my hair look "done". I don't think age matters on the fringe question!

My hair is wavy so I usually do some kind of updo, straighten it (which doesn't really suit me) or squish mousse and gel in when I shower and defuse (it curls quite a bit when I do that).

I saw this on MN and it is the world's easiest hairstyle:

Or this or variations on a rope braid:

I can do both those in a minute or two, but it makes look like I've tried.
