'No make up' make up

Can anyone recommend something I can wear out that isn't a foundation or super noticeable? I have some light scarring and some redness on my cheeks which I'd like to even out the look of but I don't want to wear a full face every day.

I really wanted to try Dr Jart Cicapair Tiger Grass Colour Correcting Treatment but I can't get it in Australia.

I'd like to sometimes wear mascara and lipstick or go out make up free but just some skin correction coverage if that makes sense, without feeling like people are wondering why my face is so red.

I used to wear First Aid Beauty Tinted Moisturiser which I loved but can no longer get it in Oz. I've tried various other bb/cc/tinted moistures but with all them have found they either

• have too much coverage and I then feel like I need make up to go with it (IT Cosmetics CC Cream which was more like foundation)
• don't appear to do anything at all
• add some colour but don't do anything for the redness

Just realised how much I wrote, thanks for getting through that!

Also has anyone tried Benefit Tinted Primer as an alternative to mascara?

Erborian anti redness CC Creme is great
Or I've seen loads of ads for Rosalique - not tried it yet but I probably will soon.

Are there any tinted spf you could try over in OZ?

If you get the right foundation it doesn't look like foundation at all.

Have you tried Bobbi Brown Skin Foundation? really light and not much more than a moisturiser.

Or Boots Hydraluminous. (Are they in Oz)

Or maybe one of the Clinique moisture surge CC creams (my Mum uses that and she's 95!)

Glossier skin tint , it’s sheer and won’t cover much but it does blur and take away some redness. I have acne rosacea and really don’t like caking make up over it so I wear this

Could you mix something you already have give it less coverage? So if IT Cosmetics was too much could you mix it with a primer and see how that goes? Or maybe try a powder foundation.

Yes Glossier Skin Tint is amazing but v v sheer, no coverage really but does take the edge off.

Thanks everyone. Looking into your suggestions. I don't think I can get Glossier in Oz but there's another brand I might try.

Thanks I'm going to try it! I don't usually spend $40 on mascara as they don't last long enough but I want to try it.

Can you get Bare Minerals in Australia? If so, complexion rescue is lovely. I set it with a tiny bit of finishing powder and it stays all day. Doesn't look foundationy but def evens out skin. They do a finishing powder as well. I use the Lily Lolo translucent silk one but I think the bare minerals veil is pretty similar.

In your case I would go with a light tinted moisturiser (I highly recommend the Chanel Les Beiges one) and then cover your scarring / redness with a concealer. You don't need the coverage all over your face as it sounds like specific areas you want to cover. MAC Studio Fix concealer in the pot is a great one for scarring.

People sometimes comment to me that I don’t wear makeup - I wear it every day!

I wear the Estée Lauder Double Wear but only in the Light formulation - the normal DW is way too heavy for me.

I wear a concealer, a light blusher and a lip balm and curl my lashes. I feel like I look lots better but nobody seems to think I’ve got any product on.
