HELP! What do I wear to my wedding on Friday?

Please help!

I’m getting married on Friday, I didn’t get a proper wedding dress but the dress I had has a hole in! Not sure how it happened 😫 I swear it wasn’t there when I tried it on but it must have been. It’s not fixable and not the end of the world I suppose!

I have dresses I can wear but they either look a bit mutton esque or like I’m going on a night out.

Thankfully I live near a lot of cities so I’m not short on places to go but I am on a high street budget!

I’m blonde with a fairish skin tone, 5”10 and a size 18 so places like H&M, Zara & Mango are a no go.

What style should I go for? What colour? What fabrics? I’m so clueless at dressing! I’ve just had a baby and I live in loungewear or jeans and a T-shirt 🙈

Bravissimo? If you look online then call them they should be able to get it to you next day - much more personal service than the big stores (they got me a suit jacket on before 9am next day delivery when I had an interview suit fail!)

As a hugely pregnant size 18 I got married in a Ghost dress. Choose one of the stretchy ones and you can re-wear it for posh occasions (as I have done on multiple occasions)

Congratulations on your wedding.

How about a day trip to London? You can book at slot at these for a fitting.

Schedule first a fitting at to make sure you have great underpinnings

Second slot with these lovely people

Warn the fitter at R&P that you are getting married , about the get a frock. I'm sure they would fit you in after the dress fitting if you need anything special

Then you just need neutral shoes and hold ups. Sounds like a lovely pre wedding day out to me. If that doesn't work, PP's suggestion of a fitting at John Lewis or Selfridges would work too. Enjoy.

I’ve bought a load from simply be and ASOS to arrive tomorrow. Had a look at my local outlet but nothing much in my size! Cursing no longer being a 14!

I will pop to John Lewis & Monsoon on Thursday if I have no luck! The Ghost ones are beautiful! But I really love the ASOS dresses! Didn’t know they did bridal! I’ve gone for some wedding & some bridesmaid!

I’m quite excited now! Thank you for coming to my panicked rescue!
