North Face Arctic Parka or Metropolis?

Which one is better for the school run? North Face Arctic Parka or Metropolis? Usually end up very cold and want to invest in something better that will last more than one season.

I'd pick a Lands End Squall coat over either but North Face is also very good.

Re durability, my DH had a Lands End Squall parka when we started dating. Last year the zipper broke in the tumble drier. The gave him a $40 voucher to use on a new one and a 30% off promo code. The parka was 25 years old. His new one is much nicer than the old one too.

They might have refunded the original cost but the item code was so old that they couldn't look it up. LE is based in Wisconsin, where the winters are practically arctic. The customer service people are all local and very, very nice. We all have LE winter kit in our family.

My Arctic Parka is amazing and still going strong after six years. Still looks like new!

North Face also makes excellent winter coats. You wouldn't go wrong with one of theirs if the LE ones don't suit you.

I have an artic parka, a LE squall and another LE long coat. They are all 3 fabulous.

I have an artic Parka, just sold one on ebay as I have lost weight and I would really recommend it. It still looked as good as new.
