Nice autumn dress very plus size

My mum gave us a photo shoot for Christmas last year. We've booked to have the shoot on DS's first birthday next month. I have no idea what to wear. I am now very pear shaped with a big belly. Around a UK 24/26 and I have a large chest too. I'm 5ft 9.
I know I should have lost weight but this is DS's first birthday and I'm determined to be relatively happy with the pictures.
I was thinking a dress as I'm comfortable in them and they can do more to take away from the belly. My mum is going to give me money for my birthday later in the month so I can spend up to £100 all in but that would be a big splurge, most of my clothes are from supermarkets or hand me downs.

Something like this?

On someone else I would really like that but I wouldn't have the confidence to wear it myself.

Do you have any styles or colours in mind? I'm a size 16/18 and high necks suit me, however, a friend who is the same size but larger breasts suits low necks. Maybe a wrap dress?

cherrypiepie · 03/10/2020 16:03

I like that dress! Exciting about the photo shoot. There are a million dress out there at the moment so a little mor info might help to find something you like.

What length would you prefer and any preference over Patterned or plain? What shoes will you wear and Are your family all wearing a similar colour scheme to co-ordinated on the photo shoot? Are you going for a more daytime look than 'dressed-up' look?

Mylittlesandwich · 03/10/2020 16:04

I was thinking a wrap dress but I'll need to be careful with materials so it doesn't cling. DS is getting a wee navy hoodie so I'll steer clear of anything too matchy.

Yes, definitely more day time. It's in our lovely local park.

I like kind of autumn colours, so brown, orange, red. I wear a lot of black but I want this to be something a bit more special. I have a bigger bust so a wrap or v-neck would probably be my best bet.

I'm also hoping it will go with boots. I have ankle length brown ones or knee length black ones.

Too matchy comment that should be!

pincertoe · 03/10/2020 16:13

I lovely simply be - i bought a lovely dress a couple of weeks ago - I'm a 22 - i love it but don't have big boobs so it would look way better if I had boobs to fill it out. I will go search for it now.

DialSquare · 03/10/2020 16:18

This would be nice with black boots

@pincertoe I think that might be a winner! I love the colours of it and it's only £19!

I saw this one but I can't decide if it's a bit much?

I like the @pincertoe suggestion and this from hm.

Like the one in your pic but not very daytime.

pincertoe · 03/10/2020 16:23

@Mylittlesandwich it is afab day time dress (I wear it to work) and would suit boots. Once my toe is better I will wear it with black boots.

I love your dress but its too evening dressy for a day dress.

Mylittlesandwich · 03/10/2020 16:24

I know. Wondering if I can invent a party or Christmas do that would actually go ahead so I can buy it anyway? Lol.

I've recently discovered navabi. I am similar siz eand height as you and wore this for a special event recently. It was SO flattering. Sounds like it's your colours too
