As I've had such good recommendations so far from here (hopefully I can make some soon too!)....

As the title says really, what do you love? At the moment I've been using Boots own Q10 which isn't bad, a great price but hasn't blown me away either. I'm 40, have normal skin and would like to stay under £30.

Let me know your best buys!
Thank you Smile

I think No7 is good for the price

Do you have a separate SPF, or want one with it included? The Ordinary do a very good moisturiser which has no bells or whistles, but gets the job done for very little money. No spf, so you'd need to buy something to put on top. Or Ultrasun do a large range of face creams with built-in spf (30 or 50). I use the anti-pigmentation SPF 50 and love it, but I'm a few years older than you, so you may not need the age spot stuff.

I love Korres wild rose moisturiser. Feels lovely on. Smells gorgeous. My skin feels soft.

pinkgin85 · 03/10/2020 15:45

Darphin Hydragel is amazing

TableNiner · 03/10/2020 15:49

I like Cerave PM which is richer than the AM (am 44)

Pikachubaby · 03/10/2020 15:54

I like REN vit C and also the retinoids cream

It does not use silicones, so it doesn’t glide on as beautifully or give an instant silky feel like most moisturisers (the ones people rave about, with instant results, are usually full of silicone. It’s not bad for your skin but it gives an illusion of smoothness but it’s just a thin layer of silicones on top of your skin that feels smooth iyswim, it’s on the ingredients list as cyclometicone, or dimeticone)

The Inkey List have some great moisturisers (I like Multi-Biotic, Peptides and the Bakuchiol ones) and all under £15 but with plenty of actives.

Agree No7 is good for the price, and they often have offers on.

Did you see Sali Hughes' latest list on the Guardian?

I do quite rate her but have tried none of these yet - corona-broke!

I'm 40 with v sensitive combination skin and I'm swearing by this Weleda white mallow baby moisturiser ATM:
www.amazon.co.uk/Weleda-Derma-White-Mallow-Cream/dp/B00DNHH5BE?tag=mumsnetforu03-21

I buy it on subscribe and save for under £7 a time and it's lovely to use, super-hydrating, not too greasy. No nasties, no fragrance. Feels very luxe on the skin :)

Lasts a couple of months, maybe 6 weeks in the depths of winter. Genuinely amazing value!

No sunscreen so add that on top... :) Good luck!

tenlittlecygnets · 04/10/2020 14:19

Oh, fab! Let me know how you get on with it!

LouisLitt1 · 04/10/2020 14:52
