Box dyes

I am currently disenchanted with hairdressers, I seem to be paying £85 a month to have hair I don't like. Blond full head highlights that are always too blond and just boring.
I'm going to have to go back to box dyes for a while (light blond) because I'm saving for an expensive house renovation.
Can anyone recommend one that won't turn my hair a nasty orange shade? Clairol turns my hair orange every time.

What is your natural hair colour? Box dyes won't lighten darker hair.

Take a look at eSalon. Its a bit more expensive than box dyes but its professional strength dye and each month, they send it to me by post. You could also look at asking your hairdresser which colour she uses on you and buy it at Sally Beauty. You will get a much better result if its professional dye.

It's dark blond. esalon is awful. I used it for three months and it left a horrendous slimy residue on my hair which is very long and it's almost impossible to cancel the direct debit you can't get hold of these people, in the end I had to cancel my card and report them to the bank.

Garnier Belle Colour is one of the best box dyes (I've tried many!).
I'm more of a light brown girl myself but friend who's a blonde also uses Belle colour and her hair is fabulous.
