Long navy cardigan that floats (but doesn't gush)

My old Mango wool mix cardie, knee length on me (5ft-ish), was perfect for knee-length/shorter dresses. But it's sadly dying.
I'm trying to find a wool/wool mix navy replacement.
Nearly cracked and bought this. It fits perfectly, but it's acrylic, and close to waterfall territory:

Any other ideas? I'm really struggling with cardies at the moment - I love the chunky, slouchy short look on taller friends, but they swap me, and knee length on a short dress gives a sleeker line.

I have bought that style in cashmere and wool cashmere mix for under £50

Uniqlo I just find too huge for me. But tkmaxx is a good idea.
