What do you all think of this??

For reference I'm 35 years old and need something practical and warm for winter months!

Oh also I have had a typical puffer coat and wanted something different this time.

Thank you Grin

Hum.... no. It looks horrendous on the model and the sleeves are odd.
Go for a parka, green if you like the colour or even blue

anotherwinkywinkybumbum · 02/10/2020 07:05

Honestly, the contrasts parts aren't to my style. There is a mum I used to see on the school run that had a plain black one of these which always looked nice but is that the style you've already got?

Windywendys · 02/10/2020 07:08

I’m a massive fan of khaki but I don’t like the sleeves.

Windywendys · 02/10/2020 07:09

However ! It it suits the wearer bugger the starer!

allthegoodusernameshavegone · 02/10/2020 07:10

Nope

PersephonePromotesEquanimity · 02/10/2020 07:12

Completely bland and inoffensive.

Why is your age relevant to the wearing of a coat?

BigusBumus · 02/10/2020 07:14

I think it looks a bit 'Gamekeeper' without a decent branding. So like a fake Le Chameau coat or something.

Could you afford a premium country wear brand like Barbour, Le Chameau or Aigle?

OutComeTheWolves · 02/10/2020 07:16

I don't personally like it but I have form for thinking things look horrible until I see them on a real person then doing a massive u-turn.

mistermagpie · 02/10/2020 07:21

I don't like it. I'm not even sure why but I think it's the contrast bits that just make it look a bit naff.

Rina66 · 02/10/2020 07:23

I think I would prefer it with a tighter or cuffed sleeve, like this...

ShanghaiDiva · 02/10/2020 07:23

Looks like a fake Barbour. I don’t like it.
Your age is irrelevant.

belasorela · 02/10/2020 07:24

@PersephonePromotesEquanimity my age isn't relevant really but I've just become a mum and have lost all sense of what is nice and what isn't!

I'm constantly in 'comfy clothes' at the minute Blush

Thank you everyone!

I really like all of the long shackets that are around at the moment, but the sleeves are putting me off, they are quite balloon like and it just makes me look huge

I quite like this too from Zara and it would work on the practicality front what with its water and wind protection (their words not mine!) - clearly not a prerequisite in a coat 😂

MrsBobDylan · 02/10/2020 07:35

I really like it op! Given the response here though, we are in a minority Grin, have you looks at TKMaxx online? I get all my stuff from there as they have some brilliant quality coats. I sound like I'm employed by them, I'm honestly not!

Alfiemoon1 · 02/10/2020 07:36

I don’t personally like it. Think it’s the contrasting pockets. I have seen similar styles that are much nicer

MarshaBradyo · 02/10/2020 07:37

Too much going on

I was looking at this yesterday and I quite like it . It won't be warm though - more of a nice day coat .

MandalaYogaTapestry · 02/10/2020 09:01

I liked it. It looks very warm too. Now I wonder if I don't have any sense of style (based on the overwhelmingly negative feedback here)

PestymcPestFace · 02/10/2020 09:13

I quite like it, but if you live in the UK, you probably need something more waterproof.

tinydancerss · 02/10/2020 09:16

@belasorela I'm the same age as you and I've just bought a nice similar coat from Zara.
I'm not massively keen on that one,the patches is a bit off putting to me.
If you like it tho get it.
As my nana always said "it's you wearing it"

Verite1 · 02/10/2020 09:34

Not a huge fan. Don’t like the contrasting colours.

belasorela · 02/10/2020 11:39

@tinydancerss I'm going to look at Zara now, usually nice stuff there! Thank you Grin

The Zara one posted above is much nicer and 'trendier' (if that's what you're after!)
