Christmas presents to self

Is there anything you are planning to treat yourself to for Christmas or sales?

I have got the Holland & Barrett advent calendar. I would spend up to a couple of hundred pounds treating myself to some things and I'm starting to make a list to focus my mind as I get carried away with deals and GWPs.

On my list so far:

Lush goodies (I looked at the advent calendar and its extortionate but I would spend £30-40 on bath bombs and some other things I haven't tried)
ESPA bath stuff
Some facial skincare but haven't decided on what
Christmas collection make up (haven't seen anything I want yet) maybe
Hotel Chocolat velvetiser
Pyjamas / lounge clothes
I quite like the leather Uggs

I'd love a new bed but not sure I'll get one at Christmas unless it's a good deal.

I'm sure I'll think of other things

I usually like to get myself a piece of jewellery, I have my own business so it’s sort of an end of the year well done to myself I’ve had some good deals from Black Friday and just after Christmas before now.

The velvetiser has been on my mental list for a while too so I actually think I’ll end up getting one of those! I drive an hour for one of their hot chocolates 🙈

I’m also wanting some new skincare and always love the sets that come out around Christmas so I can give a few different things a try. I’d like to give origins ago and they usually do some good sets.

You could look around Black Friday for a new bed to see if there’s offers on!

Yes Black Friday is a good idea for a bed

I love a good hot chocolate but they're just not the same made at home and I've missed them since not going into the office so I'm thinking the velvetiser might be a good call.

I like the idea of jewellery too

Just remembered I also want a new fitness watch or smart watch

I’m also tempted by a velvetiser and some leather uggs.

I’m already over-spent on advents. But I think I’m fine there. For now.

The advent calendars are tempting but I still have stuff from last years ones and the 2018 Harvey Nichols GWP so I think they're a bit of a waste for me. I think I'm a bit jaded after years of glossy boxes etc

There is a Friends socks advent calendar I quite like the look of! And maybe a Hotel Chocolat one

I think I will get the velvetiser though it is expensive and I'm wondering whether a milk frother will do the same job!? It's the skin on top or the hot chocolate that I hate

I'm tempted to the rituals advent calendar - or a nice brooch I have my eye on, every year I toy with the idea of buying myself some nice things and I never get round to it but I think I should!

LoveEatYoga · 02/10/2020 09:38

The Rituals calendar is a good price

I am going to set aside some money for black friday or maybe jan sales as I will probably drop some hints for DH to buy me something from my list!

I've ordered myself some lovely perfume discovery sets

RemusLupinsBiggestGroupie · 07/10/2020 11:45

I don't want an Advent calendar - all that money and all that plastic. Would rather just have one or two lovely full-size things instead.

I'm hoping to be treating myself to:

  • a new black jumper - not cashmere because it's too ££ and too warm; maybe a fine merino or a cotton mix knit
  • some really lovely lounging around socks, maybe from Market
  • a new dressing gown/robe, or some sort of lounging long length cardigan

Last year I bought myself a Silentgliss metropole for my bay window. Cost a fortune but I love it so much compared to my old bypass rings that kept falling off and sticking. I love it!

LoveEatYoga · 07/10/2020 18:35

They sound lovely!

I need some clothes / longe clothes but my list is quite long now
