Liz Earle Moisturiser alternatives

I have been a huge Liz Earle fan and used all her products for the last 15 years or so now. I was gutted when they changed the moisturiser formula earlier this year/(or last year?) as now it just has this really obvious scent and feels cheap and nothing like the old one. I wondered if anyone has found an alternative that is more similar to the old one which has now been discontinued? I use the normal/combination type.
TIA Smile

I changed to L'Occitaine.
More expensive though.
I use a Temple Spa cream for night which is lovely. They do various day moisturisers that may be a good fit (a good rep will give you free samples to try)

Do you mind a slight scent? I use the Nivea Q10 day cream and the wonderful Q10 pore minimiser light moisturiser (pale green inside.) They have that same elasticity and absorption as Liz Earle - they don't feel greasy.

Thanks for the speedy replies everyone!

I prefer it without a scent... I guess it depends how much of a scent it has haha.

I used to use the skin repair moisturiser - the one in the green tub.

@MaosChaos did you change for the same reason? What's the L'Occitaine one like?

Loccitaine to me is thicker. But theres a scent with the one I use. But go in the store and get thesamples, there's a few moisturisers depending on age /need.

I used to love the LE one but I thought it became greasy and my skin didn't like it.

Also Pure (can get it at M&S) is supposed to be good.. Might be worth checking out, not bank breaking.

MilsCookie · 01/10/2020 08:26

Thanks so much @MaosChaos I will investigate the ones you've suggested! Smile

If you wanted to stock up, QVC are selling a trio of the original skin repair at the moment (normal has sold out though).

MilsCookie · 01/10/2020 08:38

@frugalkitty thanks so much for this!! I've just ordered one of each type... not the same as having the normal/combination but I can use the dry/sensitive one now we're going into winter and the light/oily skin one in summer. It's the formula I love so I'm sure it will be okay!

OMG, had no idea they were discontinuing!! This is the only moisturiser that doesn't pill or flake on my weird skin. Sad

Thank you for the QVC link, stocking up now!

The new one stinks. I can't stand to use it. I messaged them and they said to return it for a refund so I did.
