Adult acne, what works?

It's almost certainly hormonal but I have reacted badly to contraceptives so I'm not wanting to go back on birth control.

I've been using acnecide (benzoyl peroxide) for 5-6 weeks now and seeing no improvement.

I cut out sugar and massively reduced my dairy intake.

Currently my routine is: tea tree face wash, miscella water to cleanse, benzoyl peroxide and a light moisturiser.

Can you reccomend products that you believe may help?

A combination of hot cloth cleanser and salycilic acid serum and niacinamide serum.

Worked a treat on my hormonal skin.
Also found a product from "the solution" that is a salycilic acid body gel that worked on chest and shoulders.

You need something with salicylic acid. La Roche posay or cerave are both good. It will get a bit worse at first as your skin gets rid of underneath spots then it will clear. I started this 3 years ago and my always spot prone skin is the best it's ever been
