Best heat protector for hair?

I'm sure it'd been asked before but if I try and search for it I get results which are not from MN.

What is your favourite heat protector? I don't use heat often (two or three times a month if that) but when I do I like to try and minimise damage to my hair.

Any recommendations?

I like the TIGI beach one

Do they actually work? from a scientific perspective. I do occasionally use one but i'm not convinced...

The Tresemme pro keratin spray. I also use a Tigi shampoo and conditioner that give heat protection. I've noticed a big difference since using them.
