Inspired by the art-school gnome tights thread 🤣 what is the consensus on patterned (black) tights?

Will I look like the gnome school I dunno maths teacher or something in patterned black tights??

Not fishnets or anything, just perhaps ribbed or with some kind of herringbone type patten to break up total opaqueness (opacity??)

Thoughts...?

Fine if you wear something plain. Nothing worse than a pattern clash.

But then I went to art school which means that I am actually allowed to wear anything cos' art school innit?

I like a pattern but agree only wear with plain navy charcoal or black dress or skirt
I frequently wear with knee high boots so you only see a small amount of pattern

Good call on the single pattern; that’s what I had been thinking. I have a couple of very plain black/charcoal dresses that I thought might work with black patterned tights. I will try and might post a pic if I’m brave enough! Thanks v much Star

I bought some spotty black tights for autumn after a thread on here about Meg Ryan.

I predict a pattern tights riot.
