If you had £50

I have a £50 gift card to spend in M&S and no clue what to buy. It's not usually a shop I use, other than for buying food and maybe baby gifts.

No need for underwear or pyjamas, so I thought maybe you could inspire me to consider things I normally wouldn't.

I'm late 30's size 10 and not quite five ft 2, if it matters!

Thanks

Get some Heatgen Plus tops. They're super warm for layering.

Or that Flexifit Crop top thats the most perfect weekend bralet ever. I live in mine outside work.

Size up in both.

mandsinspo · 29/09/2020 19:40

Oh, the tops might be good for at DS football games!

I like their Harper cigarette jeans and they have some good cashmere.

MikeUniformMike · 29/09/2020 19:44

Jeans, shoes, tights, activewear or beauty hall.
or food hall

Tangelo · 29/09/2020 19:47

I’d spend it on beauty - in fact have done when given gift cards myself. They have some really decent brands: Neom, This Works, Pixie, Emma Hardie, Living Proof. (I have just spent your £50 about three times over just listing them!)

HoratiotheHorsefly · 29/09/2020 19:54

Their Go Move and Go Train ranges are really excellent active wear, well the leggings I've got are. Good quality and fit and wash well

mandsinspo · 29/09/2020 20:30

Thanks. Lots to consider. Didn't realise they had such a beauty range. Although now I think about it, I reckon that I walk past all that as I'm leaving the food hall.

I should have started this thread before I popped in for my sandwich!

They also stock nuxe- mid range French range with lovely body oil

BernadetteRostankowskiWolowitz · 29/09/2020 20:34

Blush wine.

AmethystMoonShine · 29/09/2020 20:46

Beauty every time! I particularly love the Shay & Blue perfume Blood Orange, that is about 50 pounds.

quarentini · 29/09/2020 21:06

I would get the Ren 2 minutes flash facial and a bottle of wine and some Percy pigs

MrDarcysMa · 29/09/2020 21:14

Hmm, some cashmere ? Or some bras.
They sell pretty good skincare too.

Frappuccinofan · 29/09/2020 21:18

Omg candles!

They have these amazing light up candles, so beautiful and would make a great gift. I also bought a colour changing rainbow candle (not on the website yet) today.

They have that snow globe gin which is very popular and again, a great gift. They also have have nice general homemade eg (faux) plants and kitchenware

Beauty wise, they stock brands like Stila, Philip Kingsley, colour wow, origins etc.

Frappuccinofan · 29/09/2020 21:19

Homemade should say homeware

mandsinspo · 29/09/2020 22:06

I've been thinking of trying retinol, and basically improving my skincare regime overall, so I think I'll maybe try something from their beauty range.

Thanks!

There’s a balm cleanser in their own range called Pure which is absolutely fantastic - very similar to the Emma Hardie one, but about £10. I would put the rest towards a crew neck cashmere jumper - they wash in the machine and are lovely and soft. (Quite short in the body, so maybe size up if you have a long torso.)
