I'm looking for inspiration, just starting Mat leave and have a £100 John Lewis voucher to spend. Just bought some vejas and have biker boots from last year. I'm planning a trip to Zara soon as I'm loving a lot of their collared knits but want to lose some more baby weight before their sizing sends me into a meltdown!

Also these black hiking boots from Primark for £16 that I can wear in bad muddy weather.

Wow, those Primark ones really look the part - I bought white ones like that from Primark last year as I figured I wouldn’t get the wear for a serious money spend

Terralee · 02/10/2020 19:17

I bought these Next Slim fit high waisted regular length jeans for £32 which I can roll up (I'm slightly too short for them but not short enough for Petite!).
Soft stretchy denim & nice fit. To wear with trainers & ankle boots, & my cropped jumpers when it gets colder.

I’ve got these Zara ones in my basket at the moment....

@Rina66 I thought the Primark boots would be good for the kind of horrible stormy weather we get a lot of!

I don't want to wear my Dune boots in bad weather & wreck them but I thought the Primark boots seemed quite indestructible! Also maybe good for walks on the beach etc

Terralee · 02/10/2020 19:23

I like the Zara Chelsea boots.. our PA at work wears Chelsea boots with tights & short tea dresses, they look good.

I love this one! I have 2 pairs and beautiful with trainers

Laska2Meryls · 02/10/2020 20:01

I have bought a couple of great ( and expensive) things from Toast including that graphic sweater that ellapaella has linked, a gingham wool skirt and the dog tooth Taro shirt which has hardly been off my back since it arrived..
But for the most bargainous AW20 wins I think these Tu checked £18 jeans are going to be way up there with my AW20 favourites .. I have also worn these 3 times already with a big sweater and chunky boots and I only bought them earlier this week !

maudesid · 02/10/2020 20:42

@follygirl I've been eyeing those up for almost a year but scared! Are they more flattering than a leather legging do you think? I'm a 12-14 (ore 14 right now!)

Rina66 · 02/10/2020 20:47

Loving those check jeans, what a total bargain! They remind me of ski pants, oh how I loved them back in the day.

follygirl · 02/10/2020 21:12

@maudesid I think that they're really flattering as I haven't got skinny legs.
You can always send them back if they don't suit you.

ImFree2doasiwant · 03/10/2020 08:46

@Laska2Meryls just ordered those from Sainsbury, thanks! (I really need help in this department, and trying to sort myself out so I look nicer, so anything like this us really useful! )

TryingnottobeWaynettaSlob · 03/10/2020 09:43

@LiveFromHome

These leather look leggings for £15, which are a million times nicer than the Spanx leather leggings that I was persuaded to spend over £80 on last year by the style and beauty board!
These are lovely @LiveFromHome how do you tend to style them?
LiveFromHome · 03/10/2020 10:02

@TryingnottobeWaynettaSlob for a casual/pub lunch type of day I'm planning on wearing them with a cashmere jumper or a chunky knit jumper and trainers or boots.

For dressing up I've got this and this and I'll wear heels - not that I'm going out anywhere worth dressing up for any time soon Grin

Offredismysister · 03/10/2020 10:18

I’ve just ordered those leggings in wine to go with this cashmere jumper I got in the whistles sale last year. Mine is black though, not navy.

I’ve also just bought this cardigan from hush & I love it, it’s so soft & warm. Not itchy at all.

@LiveFromHome Thanks so much for your reply. Those shirts look gorgeous I hope you get to take them out!! Like the cashmere sweater combo idea.. are they thick enough around the bum to not have to wear top that covers?

Rina66 · 03/10/2020 12:35

What about wearing them with one of those check shacket thingys that are everywhere at the moment?

LiveFromHome · 03/10/2020 18:04

@Rina66 do you own or work for that clothing company, because you're constantly posting about them on every S&B thread I've ever seen you on.

Rina66 · 03/10/2020 18:24

No, I don’t own Zara, H & M or ASOS either sadly 😂

Ellapaella · 03/10/2020 18:57

@LiveFromHome I love that silk dress leopard blouse, absolutely gorgeous. It would look amazing with a leather pencil skirt as well.

LiveFromHome · 03/10/2020 18:59

@Ellapaella it looks really good with a french tuck into the leather look leggings. I quite like the skirt and belt it's styled with on the Silk Fred site but I don't think I'll be going out much/enough to buy that too!

Ellapaella · 03/10/2020 18:59

*Silk Fred

Ellapaella · 03/10/2020 19:00

@LiveFromHome same here, I was thinking I might order it but then I'm not sure how much I'd be able to wear it as I live in an area with increased restrictions so basically have no social life for the foreseeable future 😥

hammeringinmyhead · 03/10/2020 19:02

This came today. I heart it.
