They make me look like I have a cone head and they really dont suit me. Just an observation though that all there seems to be are bobble hats around!!

Oh, I feel for you! I spent ages last year finding a hat without a bobble that worked for me. Finally dug one out of the bottom of the sale bin at the local outdoor shop. Which reminds me, I must find it as it's definitely heading for hat weather. So, no suggestions for you, just a good luckSmile

I have one similar to this , bought it in Prague , must be around 15 years ago and it never seems to date www.debenhams.com/webapp/wcs/stores/servlet/prod_10701_10001_025010507970_-1

I love bobble hats....but I do hate the way something comes into fashion and you can only get that...it can be colours, styles, textures, tough luck if it's not your thing

midgebabe · 28/09/2020 21:16

Does everyone buy hats in Prague? It was soooo cold

JaJaDingDong · 28/09/2020 21:20

I think you need a beany/beanie hat instead of a bobble hat.

frokenslinger · 28/09/2020 21:54

ARKET, & Other Stories, Cos...all the minimalist brands have plenty of non-bobble options.

StopGo · 28/09/2020 22:10

Bobble hats are a sailors/mariners thing. The bobble was meant to protect their heads from low beams etc. Look for a beanie hat or snip the bobble off.

teezletangler · 29/09/2020 04:35

Uniqlo have lovely beanies. Their cashmere version is my favourite winter hat.

RubaiyatOfAnyone · 29/09/2020 06:31

I’m rather partial to a beret in winter.
Accessorise was always good for these (and beanies, although these make me look like an overweight potato - at last bobble hats elongate your face and increase your height Grin).

Look in the men's department. No one makes the men wear bloody bobbles......Angry

Guess what I ordered from Debenhams earlier?!

Ghostlyglow · 29/09/2020 20:54

Uniqlo do good beanies. I've got a couple of their cashmere ones.

lakeswimmer · 29/09/2020 22:12

I bought a bobble hat in a White Stuff sale recently and cut the bobble off. Looks much better without. I don't mind bobbles and have got a couple of hats with them, but it didn't look right on this particular hat Smile

Scissors are your friend

I love my Jack Murphy's Boston fedoras
I have them in Black and Navy.
I also gave a similar style one in dark khaki by a German manufacturer ( the tag is gone from it ) that is waterproof and uncrushable too.
Brilliant

Stylish and practical.
I cannot wear bobble hats because of my face shape and neck length. They do me no favours.
