Beachy wave hair

Can anyone give me any tips on how to get beachy wave hair?

I have long hair down past my bra strap. It’s slightly layered. My hair is frizzy, thin but there is lots of it if that makes any sense? So it’s quite heavy.

I have watched loads of YouTube videos, I’ve tried with my GHD’s, my Dyson airwrap and nothing seems to work. I know the GHD’s will probably do a better job, but I just can’t seem to get it right. I can’t seem to turn my wrist properly and I either hold the hair too tight in the straighteners and it can’t move down my hair or it’s too loose and it all falls out. I’m pretty hopeless with hair.

Does anyone have any ideas?

Get a cheap wand. £25 or so. It is really easy. Not one with a clip. And a fat barrel. Use a product when hair is wet a mouse or spray and then curl a section. Let it cool and use a hair spray but don't brush out curls yet. Leave them to set until leaving house / you're dressed / whatever then brush through with hands.
