Do lululemon leggings come up snug or generous?

I’m a size 10 but not a small size 10.

I’m assuming as lululemon are a US brand they are relatively generous in sizing? Does anyone know?

Obv I don’t want leggings to be loose. But don’t want absurdly tight either!

I’d say snug. I always go a size up in my American size.

Thank you!

Maybe it’s style dependant because I only have the Align I’d say they are very generous with tons of stretch. I’m 20 weeks pregnant and unlike the rest of my clothing they’re still extremely comfortable in my pre-pregnancy size and I sized down originally when I bought them.

I find the softer leggings / those designed for yoga are true to size verging on generous. I'm a UK 8-10 and wear a US4.

Some of the leggings / shorts designed for running are a slightly less generous cut IME, so I have on occasion needed to size up.

e.g. The Align ShyTown has mentioned are pretty stretchy and forgiving. Wunder Under are thicker, so have a bit less give.

I'm more of a 12 and always get a US6/UK10 in lululemon.

It’s the Wunder tights that I wear but I also find the vests with inbuilt support tight under the arms in my own size...I am disproportionately big busted though. Mostly everything I have is made of the very thick material.

It lasts forever though lol. 12 years since my first purchases and they all look good as new!

MadisonMontgomery · 28/09/2020 15:32

I find them very generous.

If you can afford lululemon Would actually look at other brands in terms of quality. Lululemon is a Canadian company not US. They used to be made in Canada but now mostly produced in China Taiwan & India. The quality has really changed

Which brands are better? I’ve tried Sweaty Betty, any other recommendations?

Thanks everyone!

Ooh yes I would love other brand reccs. I had Sweaty Betty ones years ago and they were good. Are they still worth the £££?

QueenoftheIceAge I really like ODODOS, Baleaf & IUGA. I just really dislike lululemon. A few years back when they outsourced production to use cheaper materials & labour people really noticed the difference. The material was pretty much see thru & the pilling was bad. The CEO Chip Wilson basically said it was the fault of the wearer & Lululemon wasn't intended for people of a certain body shape!.

I really like Ripple Yoga, Splits59, Beyond Yoga and Alo Yoga.

BARA does the best leggings I've tried, and I have tried many (have several pairs of Lulus too). Go by their measurement guide www.barasportswear.com/
