Chanel 19 alternatives

I've only just discovered that Chanel 'reimagined' 19, which may explain why my newish (less than a year old) bottle smells a bit different to how I remember it.

Can anyone who remembers original 19 suggest a modern alternative?

Try this. It’s 90% similar in my opinion. It’s also an old fragrance l think ‘ 78 ...but it’s closer to the original 19 than the present day offering.
It’s also inexpensive.
I loved 19 & this is a less sweet version l suppose. Probably a little less powdery?!

It's definitely too sweet and powdery now and not as fresh and green. Such a shame :(

Yes, definitely Silences. To me, it's much nicer than Chanel no. 19. Heure Exquise by Annick Goutal may be worth sampling. It's very similar in style and is a beautiful chilly Iris.

It's not been reformulated for a few years. You've definitely not got a flanker by mistake?
It's obviously different to the old versions but I have 19 in 6 different vintages and it's one of few that stands the test, albeit a little less shockingly crisp.

Still, if you don't like it...Silences isn't bad, imo, but it's no 19.

If you're looking for green and crisp, then you could try Liz Earle 1, Cristalle, Yardley Jade, Eau du Sud. These are all very similar to each other but range from £7 to Chanel prices! (If you know Cristalle that's their mothership)
