Using a tinted moisturiser as an actual moisturiser

I know this sounds silly, but I’ve done my skincare (cleanse, maybe eye cream and then moisturiser) followed by either a light coverage foundation or a tinted moisturiser.

Does anyone use a tinted moisturiser and their actual moisturiser? I’m looking for one that will take the place of moisturiser.

I have normal/dry skin which is sensitive and prone to breakouts.

I add my foundation to my moisturiser- so a blob of each on my hand and mixed together

I've always use tinted moisturiser over moisturizer. I apply my skincare after my shower and then leave it fifteen minutes or so to sink in before applying makeup. If I applied TM straight after the shower I would have to apply more to moisturise and my skin may be pinker after my shower so the effect may not be as natural.

Hmm I was thinking the same, i don’t know if it’d be hydrating enough on its own.

Good idea with mixing the foundation and moisturiser. Will give that a go!

I use Olay Everyday sunshine moisturiser which has a small amount of fake tan added. I use a serum first and then the Olay as my Moisturiser, and can still use BB cream or foundation without it all sliding off.
It gives me a bit of colour and a glow without any oompa Loompah fake tan colour at all, I’m so pale without it. If I don’t use it people ask if I’m tired or ill!

I use far more actual moisturiser than I do foundation/tinted moisturiser. I would end up with too much product on my face if I tried to use TM as M. It is a misleading name I think. It isn't really a TM. It's a tinted sheer base that has moisturising qualities.

I use tinted moisturiser on its own (currently the La Roche Posay Effaclar one, used to use Dermalogica one). However my skin is never dry, it tends more to the oily if anything, so not sure if this would be enough for dry skin.

I use both my normal mousturiser and then a bb cream on top.
otherwise the result is patchy for me.
