Buying makeup from eBay.

I have bought a few L'Oréal and Revlon lipsticks from eBay recently, they were at least several pounds cheaper than the RRP. Are they priced lower than rrp because it is old stock? I know I need to be careful about buying fakes, but they can't all be fake on ebay, can they?

The lipsticks I have bought are sealed and there is nothing to indicate that it is not a genuine product.

I wonder this...I buy quite a bit from ebay, especially stuff which has been discontinued

They shouldn't be fakes as ebay keep a eye on this but i think a few get through, I got a loreal foundation sealed the one that is white in the tube,
and changers to your colour of your skin, well this one stayed white, so it must of been a fake, i should of reported it but i just bined it instead

just to add the reason I know ebay checks, I sell a bit on ebay and listed a bundle of make up, all brought from boot, debenhams, superdrug, my listing got taking down, ebay said that someone from one of the brands i was selling said the eye liner was fake, it was one I got in a makeup set from debenham, so how that could be fake i don't know.

Check your seller's feedback. I often sell unused cosmetics on eBay. The items I won't use from advent calendars, beauty boxes and GWPs I'll sell on eBay.

That's very reassuring, thank you!

I bought a premium branded foundation from eBay. I have a rule that I only buy makeup from in the shop, but I saw a good deal on eBay and decided to go for it. I am familiar with the brand because it’s the only one I use.

The box and bottle were legit. The foundation within the bottle was not.

I buy make up and perfume from eBay. It's mostly been fine but I have had a bottle of MB perfume which was dodgy - either fake or from a bad batch.

I always check seller ratings but eBay will always side with buyers if any problems.
