Kids' clothes

Do you spend much on your kids' clothes, ie buying an expensive item in the hope that it'll be good quality?

I'm contemplating coats for my DS who's nearly 5, and I'm looking at Boden where some good quality looking coats are almost £70! But then even looking at supermarkets, they tend to be around £30. I have a younger DS who has already got really good wear out of a lot of DS1's clothes, so I'm wondering if it is worth investing in the hope things will last.

Plus I like the £70 coats Grin

We've also had a Boden coat that is now on its 4th year of being worn (by 2 ds) and still looks great.

Muddy puddles coats have been good quality and they often seem to have sales on. Worth more £ for outerwear that will get a lot of use, esp if can be passed on.
